  • At least 95 Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks throughout Gaza, including more than a dozen desperate people seeking food at much-aligned US-Israel-backed aid distribution sites, hospital sources say.
  • In the deadliest single strike of the day, Israeli fighter jets bombed an internet café with a children’s birthday party under way, killing at least 39 people.

  • Israel’s war on Gaza has killed at least 56,531 people and wounded 133,642, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry. An estimated 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the October 7 attacks and more than 200 were taken captive.

Trump ‘wants to save lives’ in Gaza: White House

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt says Trump and administration officials are in constant communication with Israeli leaders, and bringing an end to the war on Gaza is a priority.

“It’s heartbreaking to see the images that have come out from both Israel and Gaza throughout this war, and the president wants to see it end. He wants to save lives,” Leavitt said.

Trump will host Netanyahu for talks at the White House next Monday, AP reported.

Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer – a close Netanyahu ally – is in Washington, DC this week for talks with senior officials on a Gaza ceasefire, Iran and other matters.

Israeli attacks kill 24 across Gaza since dawn

At least 24 Palestinians have been killed in the besieged enclave since dawn, Gaza hospital sources tell Al Jazeera.

Among the dead were 11 aid seekers. At least 95 people were killed in Israeli attacks across the territory on Monday.

Two wounded in Israeli attack on southern Lebanon

Two people, including a child, received light injuries after an Israeli drone struck southern Lebanon, according to the Health Ministry.

It said in a short statement that the attack hit a house on the road leading to the Jabal al-Ahmar area in the Nabatieh district.

The Israeli military, which has been regularly hitting Lebanon despite the ceasefire with Hezbollah, has not commented on the drone attack.

Hundreds face death’: Al-Shifa Hospital halts services

The director of Al-Shifa Hospital in northern Gaza has spoken to Al Jazeera about the dire situation at the Gaza City health facility.

Dr Muhammad Abu Salmiya said after running out of fuel the hospital suspended dialysis treatment, putting the lives of 350 patients at risk.

“At 12pm [10:00 GMT] our generators will stop and hundreds of patients could face death,” Abu Salmiya said. “Unfortunately, we have no options left to address the fuel shortage and will be forced to suspend our services.”

Al-Shifa was Gaza’s largest hospital before it was largely reduced to rubble by Israeli bombardment during the early months of the war. Israeli forces arrested and held Abu Salmiya in prison for seven months, accusing Hamas of using the medical facility as a military base.

At least 8 killed in southern Gaza since dawn

Earlier, we reported one person was killed in the centre of Khan Younis, Gaza’s second-largest city.

Sources at Nasser Hospital now say at least eight people were killed in Israeli attacks throughout southern Gaza early on Tuesday.

Israel’s war on Gaza has killed at least 56,531 people and wounded 133,642, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.

Protesters in New York demand UN action to end Gaza genocide

Since Israel’s war on Gaza began, the UN Security Council has held more than 30 meetings on the conflict.

Another meeting was held on Monday while protesters rallied outside. They say they are frustrated with how little the UNSC has achieved.

Israeli attacks kill 2 more Palestinians

One person was killed and others were injured in an Israeli attack on the Zeitoun neighbourhood, southeast of Gaza City, a source at Al-Ahli Hospital told Al Jazeera.

Another Palestinian was killed in an Israeli attack in the centre of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, according to sources at Nasser Medical Complex.

Nearly 100 people were killed in Israeli military attacks on Monday, including women and children at a birthday party.

NGOs call for UN to replace US-Israel-backed aid system in Gaza

More than 100 NGOs are demanding immediate action in Gaza to end “the deadly Israeli distribution scheme” and return to UN-led aid coordination.

”The number of aid distribution points has dropped from 400 to just four military-controlled sites,” the group said in a statement.

The US- and Israel-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) has forced “two million people into overcrowded militarised zones where they face daily gunfire and mass casualties while trying to access food”, it added.

The NGOs alleged the GHF was designed to “sustain a cycle of desperation, danger, and death”.

“Experienced humanitarian actors remain ready to deliver life-saving assistance at scale. Yet more than 100 days since Israeli authorities re-imposed a near-total blockade on aid and commercial goods, Gaza’s humanitarian conditions are collapsing faster than at any point in the past 20 months.”

Since May 27, about 600 Palestinians have been killed and 4,200 wounded while waiting for food at aid distribution sites operated by GHF.

Nearly 100 Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks in one day

Witnesses and medical sources say nearly 40 people died – including many women and children – after Israeli forces bombed a bustling internet cafe in northern Gaza City in the deadliest single attack on Monday.

The cafe doubled as a shelter for war-displaced Palestinians and was also used by activists and journalists because of its wi-fi facility.

“The Israeli occupation bombed this place with its fighter jets. We found people torn apart,” survivor Yahya Sharif told Al Jazeera.

“This place wasn’t affiliated with anyone, no politics and not a military association whatsoever. It was packed with people, including children [there] for a birthday party.”
