Mad Texas Weather: From sub-zero to the 80s in a week

After weeks of sub zero temperatures that resulted in water shortage and power outages, Texas’ weather took a swing up especial in the northern part of the state.

Last week Tuesday Texas woke up to some of the coldest temperatures in decades with areas like Hill Country registering sub-zero temperatures, but just seven days later temperatures reached 80 degrees, and even warmer weather is expected Wednesday.

A high of 83 degrees is forecast for Austin Wednesday afternoon, but a fairly strong cold front will blow in by evening, and highs will only reach the 50s on Thursday. While it will be colder, no freezing weather is forecast for the rest of February.

In addition to the temperature drop, an unsettled weather pattern will take shape Thursday and remain in place into early next week.
