A senior Houthi official has reaffirmed the group’s commitment to Palestinians, saying that operations to support Gaza will not stop until Israeli attacks on the enclave end and the siege is lifted.

On Sunday, the Yemen-based group said it had fired a ballistic missile at Israel’s Ben Gurion airport. Later, the Israeli army targeted the ports of Hodeidah, Ras-Isa and as-Salif along the Red Sea coast, as well as the Ras Kathib power plant.

It said it also struck a radar system on the Galaxy Leader ship, which was seized by the Houthis and remains docked in the port of Hodeidah.

Under the decades-old status quo maintained by Israeli authorities, Jews and other non-Muslims are allowed to visit the compound in occupied East Jerusalem during specified hours, but they are not permitted to pray there or display religious symbols.

What’s in the ceasefire proposal and could it end the war on Gaza?

Discussions of a ceasefire in Gaza have picked up in recent days.

Last week, Trump said Israel agreed to the conditions for a 60-day ceasefire, and negotiators could meet to carve out a path to finally ending Israel’s war on Gaza.

Hamas said it delivered a “positive response” to mediators, but according to reports, the group has requested three amendments.

Netanyahu called the Palestinian group’s asks “unacceptable” but still sent negotiators to Qatar for talks.

Netanyahu is set to visit Washington, DC today, where reports say Trump would like a deal.

What’s the latest on the push for a ceasefire in Gaza?

US President Donald Trump expressed optimism on Sunday that a ceasefire deal in Gaza could be reached by next week.

Now, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet with Trump on Monday at the White House to discuss the Gaza ceasefire deal in question.

Israel had dispatched the negotiating team to the Qatari capital, Doha, to meet with mediators about bridging the gaps between the two sides, when it comes to the current framework on the table. Early on Sunday, Netanyahu said that what Hamas had responded with was, “simply unacceptable” to Israel, and that the Israelis are not going to end the war until all of their military goals and objectives were reached.

Before departing for Washington, Netanyahu said that three of those goals need to be achieved, releasing the remaining 50 captives, destroying Hamas politically and militarily, and also ensuring that Gaza no longer poses a threat to the Israelis.

Now, Hamas had responded to the latest proposal with some amendments saying that they want aid in Gaza to be distributed by the United Nations, and want the Israeli military to only be deployed in areas that are approved as part of the agreement, and also for negotiations to end the war to happen on the first day of that 60-day agreement.

This is the first time since the beginning of the war that the Israeli prime minister has signalled any sort of flexibility or willingness toward ending the war. And it comes after immense pressure from Trump.

French jurists appeal to judge to stop military shipment to Israel

Jurists for the Respect of International Law (JURDI) have appealed to an administrative judge to suspend the delivery of military cargo destined for Israel.

The group of French lawyers and jurists says it “filed an urgent request with the Administrative Court of Montreuil, France” to suspend the military cargo in transit through France’s Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport to Elbit Systems in Israel from Swedish company Swebor Stal Svenska AB.

“Elbit Systems, the main arms supplier to the Israeli army, plays a central role in the current war effort, including in the Gaza Strip,” the group said in a statement shared on X.

JURDI said it wanted to alert French authorities to “possible complicity” in international crimes, which it said were “incompatible with the values of the French people”.

“Authorising the uncontrolled transit of armoured vehicles destined for Elbit Systems would be equivalent to facilitating, from French territory, the commission of international crimes already denounced by the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court.”

Israeli forces intensify attacks on Gaza City

Rescuers in Gaza City have used bare hands to search rubble after Israeli strikes destroyed two residential buildings sheltering displaced families.

The midnight attack on the Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood on Sunday killed dozens, with victims still trapped under debris.

Witnesses described apocalyptic scenes as neighbours retrieved body parts from trees. “We pulled two survivors out after three hours,” one rescuer said.

The bombing occurred without warning, compounding Gaza’s cycle of displacement.

Israel says Houthis launched 2 more missiles overnight

It said it attempted to intercept the projectiles and is investigating if the bids were successful.

Israel’s emergency service said it has not received reports of impact or casualties.

This comes after the Houthis claimed to have fired a missile towards Israel’s Ben Gurion airport on Sunday.
