Rwanda and Jordan signed multiple bilateral agreements during King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein’s three-day working visit to Rwanda.
The agreements include trade, agriculture, defence, health, and medical science cooperation, the elimination of double taxation on income tax and the prevention of tax evasion and avoidance. The pacts offer business opportunities for the private sector and will substantially enhance trade and investment opportunities for citizens of both countries.
The two countries have been cementing ties since February 2023, and the enhanced bilateral ties present vast trade and investment opportunities to the private sector across many sectors. The acting Chairperson of Rwanda’s Private Sector Federation (PSF), Jeanne-Françoise Mubiligi, noted that the two countries are building business relationships and finding the right partners in terms of things such as medical tourism development. King Abdullah II wrapped up his visit to Rwanda, promising to advance Jordan’s partnership with the East African country.
